Alabama quarterback Bryce Young was awarded the Heisman Trophy on Saturday night. The Heisman Trophy is the highest individual honor that any college football athlete can obtain.
Young collected 2311 points in the boating followed by Hutchinson with 954 points picket with 631 and Stroud with 399.
During his acceptance speech young quoted “I’ve always been labeled as someone who’s not the prototype, I’ve always been ruled out and counted out. People a lot of times have told me that I wasn’t going to be able to make it, and for me it’s always been about not really proving them wrong but proving myself what I can accomplish. I always push myself to work the hardest, and I try my best to do all I can to maximize all that I can. Thanks for the people around me and through the grace of God I’ve been able to make it here and I’m truly grateful for that.”
Young has led the Crimson Tide to a 12 and one record Southeastern conference championship in the top-seeded college football playoff contender. Next top performances included a record-breaking 559 passing yards with five touchdowns against Arkansas and SEC championship game record 421 yards against the number one ranked Georgia bulldogs and I come back win against the Auburn Tigers in the iron bowl.
Young is a true sophomore and won’t be eligible in the 2022 NFL draft, but has a very bright future and very well may go first overall in the 2023 NFL draft congratulations to Bryce Young and Winning the Heisman Trophy.
