As Quality Control Music, Spring Urban Fest and Black Hawk Management Group continue the Atl2U Tour the first stop was Tampa Florida. Arguably one of the biggest events thrown for Indie artists in Tampa this year. One of the most stand out performances of the night was by Sally Sweets, Revealing herself to the world as the “anxious angel.”
We were happy to catch up with Sally after her performance and asked what keeps her going?. “Some call it passion, some call it therapy, others may even go as far as saying that this was something that they were born to do. I believe my leadership is made from experiences and struggles I’ve endured during my Journey that’s what fuels me to keep going.” Stated Sally
She believes that spearheading her way through is the only option. This soulful singer, rapper and songwriter is an inspiration as she fights for women’s rights and truly believes that women should be valued and respected. Standing up against socially acceptable norms; domestic violence, anxiety and poverty Sally truly believes that one being can definitely change the world.
While she chants “Can’t stop won’t stop” everywhere she goes, at the beginning of the pandemic she started a traveling pop-up showcase called the “Mobile Music Movement” and she firmly believes that it was her best decision as she has gotten massive exposure during her journey to help uplift other artists. She will travel from Tampa all the way to California representing the faces of the rap mothers out of California. She also is starting her first TV show with Roku television and is currently a model; has been featured on commercials, acting and doing lots of music. The Florida native by the way of New York plans to represent everybody from near to far. Miss Sally says she will always stand loud and proud for the 941.
