Odell Beckham Jr. is officially a free agent, the former Cleveland Brown has cleared his waivers on Tuesday and is now eligible to sign with any team that he would like to as a free agent.
There has been much speculation where he will end up but the receiver has stated that he wants to play on a playoff contender of the Browns and also in a winning environment, sources say.
After being released on Monday the other 31 teams had the ability to pick up Beckham but no one wanted to claim his renegotiated contract at $7.25 million by the deadline ultimately leading Beckham to free agency.
The Browns excused Beckham from practice last week as they were negotiating where he would end up and or if he was going to be waived to be a free agent. The Browns decided that the best decision for the organization as well as Beckham would be for him to be waived, ultimately granting him the ability to pick a team that he wanted to go to.
Beckham had a rough season last year with the Browns and suffered injuries as well as being injury prone however the 29 year old pro bowl wide receiver still has years in him And could be an asset to many teams especially leading into the playoffs.
The three time pro bowler had over 1000 yards receiving in his first season with Cleveland, he also contributed to the Browns making it on a 26 year playoff drought with their first appearance.
