Cam Newton Will Meet With Former Team Carolina Panthers

Sources say that the Carolina Panthers expect to meet with former quarterback Cam Newton. As the Panthers are in a situation and in desperate need of a veteran quarterback, Cam Newton is of high interest. Newton is fully vaccinated which would put him in a position to sign a deal with the Carolina Panthers and get right to work if they can come to terms.

Newton was released earlier this year by the New England Patriots and had no offers or interest from the other 31 teams after his release. The former first overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft started his career in Carolina and an opportunity to see him back with his original team would be an amazing spot to finish up his career in the NFL.

As the Panthers have had a rough season they are 4-5 and still have a possibility to make a run for a playoff appearance. Bringing in Cam Newton very well could give them an opportunity having a veteran quarterback to help turn the season around.

They will face the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday, and they have had division wins over the New Orleans Saints as well as the Atlanta Falcons and very well have an opportunity to get a wild card spot in the playoffs.

Stay tuned for more updates on Cam Newton and his visit with the Carolina Panthers.
