With music in his blood and a passion for creating, AL99 has quickly made a name for himself in the industry. Originally from Teaneck, New Jersey, the artist moved to Chandler, Arizona as a child, and now splits his time between Maryland and New York, where his family is from.
“Music has always been a part of my life,” says AL99. “My grandfather was an original member of the Persuasions acapella group, and music was just always around in the house. I play instruments as well, so it’s something that’s always been there for me.”
A One-Man Show
But AL99 isn’t just a talented musician – he’s also a self-starter. “I make everything myself,” he says. “I make the beat, I mix the beat, I write my lyrics, record myself, mix and master the final version. I own all my music myself under my own label, TPC Music Production LLC.”
With a diverse range of musical abilities – from singing to rapping to playing instruments – AL99 is able to dabble in a variety of genres and cadences. “I have a lot of music to show for it, just in my short four-year period of taking music seriously and releasing projects,” he says. “I guess I’m unique in the fact that I really am a one-man show. I do it all, and music is just a part of me.”
Motivated by Music
Despite being an independent artist, AL99 has big plans for the future. “In five years, I want to be recognized as a major player in the game,” he says. “And I want TPC Music Production LLC to be recognized as the new big label, kind of like how YMCMB did and later on QC.”
But it’s not just about the fame for AL99. “Making the music really motivates me, and performing them is even better,” he says. “I love sharing my music with the world, and when they like it back, it gives me too much energy.”
Whether it’s performing for a million people or just 10, AL99 is satisfied as long as he’s making music. Keep an eye out for this rising star’s future projects and successes.
