Los Angeles born, Chester, PA, and Los Angeles, Ca raised. Zeke2090 worked with the likes of the late great Nipsey Hussle, Amerie, Dom Kennedy, D Smoke, Joyce Wrice, Dawn Richards, and others. His debut album 2090 was released in 2012 on Datpiff. His second LP was released in 2015. (He Has since put both albums on streaming networks) His latest album was released in December 2022 called “I LOVE YOU” and is streaming on all platforms.
Early Life
Zeke2090 always had a love for words, expression, melodies, and telling stories. Started making rap songs around the age of 8. Started to take it seriously at 18 when his high school basketball career ended. Being able to have someone connect and enjoy the music is the main reason he does this. It’s also a form of therapy. Being able to express emotions instead of holding things in.
What makes Zeke2090 Different?
What makes him different is his musical palette. He’s aware but he is not stuck in the present sound. he listens to everything. Rap, R&B, Reggae, Jazz, and Alternative. He’s studying all types of songs, top lines, and subjects.
He recently said that after doing research really all he needs is 5 years, a 5-year run, to cement himself in music history. And that’s from his work and work he will do for others (writing and producing) In 5 years he’ll have a production company that not only produces songs and albums but writes and put together movies, and do the score, and the soundtrack.
Zeke2090’s Motivation
What motivates him is history. he wants his records/albums to be held up there with the greats. Also his family, friends, and daughter.
What makes me is me. I do me and me only and appreciate who loves it. Trying to give the best version of ZEKE2090 to the world.
